These terms govern your use of Passport Check at passport-check.co.uk. By using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
1. What this site is
Passport Check tells you whether a UK passport is likely to meet a destination country's published validity rules on a given date, and publishes general information about how those rules work. It is a guidance tool. It is not advice, and it is not a government service.
2. No connection with government
This site is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to HM Passport Office, the Home Office, GOV.UK, the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, any embassy or consulate, or any institution of the European Union. It cannot process, progress or influence any application.
3. The final decision is never ours
Entry requirements are set and enforced by the destination country, applied by carrier staff at check-in and by border officers on arrival. Rules change, sometimes without notice, and can be applied more strictly than the published minimum. A result from this site is not permission to travel and does not bind anyone. Confirm with the GOV.UK foreign travel advice for your destination, and with your carrier, before you book and before you fly.
4. Accuracy
Care is taken to keep the rules current and to cite official sources, and pages carry the date they were last checked. No warranty is given that the information is accurate, complete or up to date. If a rule matters to your trip, check it against the destination country's own guidance and against GOV.UK.
5. Results are estimates
Any result is calculated from the dates you enter and from general country rules. It does not account for your nationality, visa status, purpose of travel, prior travel history or any other circumstance that can affect entry.
6. Your responsibilities
You agree not to misuse the site, including by attempting to gain unauthorised access, interfering with its operation, or requesting it at a volume that degrades service for others.
7. Availability
The aim is to keep the site available, but uninterrupted access is not guaranteed, and any part of it may be changed or withdrawn at any time.
8. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, no liability is accepted for any loss arising from use of, or reliance on, this site, including missed travel, refused boarding, refused entry or any resulting cost. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
9. Links to other sites
This site links to official sources such as GOV.UK because they are authoritative. No responsibility is accepted for the content of any external site, and a link is not an endorsement.
10. Advertising
This site carries advertising. Advertising cookies are set only if you agree to them, and you can change that choice at any time using the cookie settings link in the footer. See the privacy policy.
11. Intellectual property
The content and design of this site belong to its operators. You may read it, print it and link to it. You may not republish it in bulk.
